A pair of work boots for Leland to protect his feet on the farm

Leland is happiest and copes best while doing chores on the farm. Leland recently shared that he would like some “boots just like Jon’s” (foster father) instead of his old tennis shoes. A pair of farm boots will protect Leland‘s feet and give him a sense of belonging. Leland will feel like he truly belongs working on the farm if he has his own work boots.
Leland is 17 years old and lives in NE
Leland continues to choose positivity. After numerous placements in his first year in foster care following his mother's death, he has stayed in one place since 2022. Leland initially didn't like farm life but has grown to love everything about living on the farm. Leland has become very knowledgeable about tractors and other farm equipment and enjoys working alongside his foster father from sunup until sundown. Leland rarely complains and is eager to learn more about the farm. Leland recently took a 2-day tractor safety course and is working to build his foster father's trust so he can drive the farm tractors.
