Eugene has never owned a phone before. He seems really excited about going to Job Corp and taking on new responsibilities. Having a phone would definitely help him fit in with his peers who are probably used to having one. It's great to see how much he cares about his siblings and staying connected with them.
Eugene is 18 years old and lives in NE
Eugene is doing his best to beat the odds after losing his mother shortly after going into foster care. Despite an autism diagnosis, Eugene functions at a very high level. Eugene worked very hard after having to sit the football season out due to being ineligible to play because of failing grades. Eugene was able to participate in almost every track meet this last spring. Eugene now has his sights set on entering Job Corp to finish his high school diploma. Eugene also hopes to learn the welding trade while at Job Corp and ultimately get a good-paying job as a welder. Eugene is waiting on a start date to leave for Job Corp., which is anticipated to be within the next 30 days.
