NJ DCFS - Hudson CountyKatie is a loving and caring young lady who recently aged out of foster care and got her first apartment. The hardest part about having been in foster care was being away from her brothers, which continues to be a challenge, but she hopes to have a consistent relationship with them one day. Katie is a single mom, who works part-time at a doctor's office and attends school to become a medical assistant.
Katie will be starting her senior year of HS in September. It's school policy that she has a transparent bookbag to hold her belongings and school items. Katie is excited about this chapter and is looking forward to graduation. Having what she needs for school will help her feel most prepared.
