Sabina is an activist, athlete, and artist committed to social justice. She currently attends UC Santa Cruz and majoring in Critical Race Theory/Ethnic Studies. She was a leader of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance Club at Capuchino High School, Sabina has hosted the club’s drag shows and led schoolwide efforts in LGBTQ education. She has served as president of the San Mateo Activism Coalition, interned with California Youth Connection, and competed with the Capuchino swim team. She also worked on a Black Lives Matter mural, helped create the set for school plays, and has had her artwork showcased at the Society of Western Artists’ gallery. One of her major victories was establishing gender-neutral restrooms for her school campus.
