Damon is a sweet, kind, helpful young man. He loves to read. He sets his stuffed animals up in his bunk bed and gets them all tucked in each night. He uses his imagination in such creative ways including composing music on the piano to his favorite story books! And he loves anything with wheels! Whether it's a bike, skateboard, skates or a scooter, If it rolls, he loves it! He's such an athletic boy, and is good at all sports that he attempts. Damon is being raised by his grandparents.

This past summer there was a raffle at the local library for their summer reading program. The prize was a Hoverboard, something Damon had wanted for a while! He read 85 books and was able to enter his name into the hoverboard drawing 17 times. He was sure with that many entries, he had a good chance at winning, but, he didn't. As disappointed as he was, he was so sweet with his teary-eyed disappointment. After a few minutes he said, "Well, at least I still enjoyed reading all of those books." His grandmother said she can just imagine the teary-eyed look of joy, thankfulness and excitement that he would have if he received his wish of a green hoverboard!
