Jamaya has had her ups and downs. She has been studying hard and trying to do her best with her studies. She is going into her sophomore year at community college and is looking for a fresh start. She was hoping to dedicate a space in her bedroom for a desk and her school belongings. She wanted to go on a shopping trip to pick out the perfect desk.
Jamaya is 23 years old and lives in NJ
Jamaya was asked to leave her foster home, a place she had been living for three years, the day after her high school graduation. Jamaya has been in foster care since she was two, but was with her maternal grandmother until she was 14. She has no relationship with any of her family. She graduated from high school and has enrolled in college. Jamaya is working at a clothing store in the mall, and she looks forward to her bright future.
