Andres is such a great kid, but he could use a few new things to make him feel ready for the new school year. Specifically, he needs some new shoes and socks. The thing is, Andres is a bit hesitant to accept gifts because he always wants his siblings to come first. However, his family is hoping to show him that it's okay to receive nice things, even alongside his siblings. They just want him to be happy and comfortable for the new school year.
Andres is 12 years old and lives in AZ
Andres is a sweet and responsible young man. He is the oldest of three children residing with their kinship family. Andres feels very protective over his siblings and helps out whenever he can. Unfortunately, the children lost their mother to cancer. Hence, Andres has difficulty understanding that he doesn't have to be the caregiver to the other children and that the adults can do the hard work while allowing Andres to be a child.
