Dean, who lives in a foster home, is really into remote control cars. He's been wanting one for a long time, but unfortunately, he doesn't have one at his current foster home. Mustangs are his favorite type of car, and he's been lucky enough to try his foster brother's remote-controlled car, which he thinks is really cool. His foster brother is also into RC cars, so they'd love to play together. Dean is particularly interested in this car because it comes with a better-rated controller and engine that can go faster than a "starter" car. He wants to be able to compete and keep up with his foster brother's car.

Dean is an active youth with many interests and is always seeking knowledge about the world and how things work. They are a bit of a budding engineer and are always asking "why" and "how".
