During Aashiya's free time she typically enjoys reading, drawing and playing with her barbies. She recently went to a gaming theme birthday party and has gained an interest in playing video games. For Christmas, she has asked for a Nintendo Switch. This would be ideal for Aashiya because she is new to playing video games and it is portable. This would also be a personal item that she would not have to share. Having the Nintendo Switch would help give her some responsibility with an electronic device before getting her an Xbox or PlayStation. She has been working hard trying to accomplish her goals so that she can earn more free time.
Aashiya is 12 years old and lives in NJ
Aashiya has been in foster care for a couple of years. She resides with one of her siblings in the program. Unfortunately, she does not have any contact with her mother or other siblings. She has expressed not wanting to be adopted and wants a family member to be identified to take her and her sister. She is quiet, yet social with her peers. She is friendly and easily makes friends. She enjoys school and her favorite subject is Science. She struggles the most with math but overall does well in the school setting. Her favorite color is turquoise. She enjoys playing outside and playing with her dolls.
