A Reach and Grasp Ring Toy for Elijahs development

Elijah, 2 years old, OH

Beech Acres Parenting Center

Elijah is a sweet baby boy. He has been in his foster home since birth and is a joy to have in the family. Elijah has eyesight concerns that make it difficult for him to interact with his surroundings. Additionally, he was born premature and has struggled to gain strength to meet developmental milestones. Elijah is a tough little boy and has already overcome many of his adversities with the support of his foster family. Elijah loves his Clifford the Big Red Dog stuffed animal and seems to respond best to bright toys that make sounds. His foster mom works with Elijah to improve his eye tracking, environmental awareness, and overall strength.

Elijah is working with his foster mom and a physical therapist to improve his mobility and development. Elijah has a goal to be able to reach and grasp items during tummy time. Due to Elijah's eyesight concerns, it can be challenging for him to interact with objects around him. Foster mom has found that he responds and interacts best with toys that are bright red or light up. This reach and grasp toy will be helpful to Elijah to reach his goal and continue to meet milestones in his development.

"Thank you so much for your generosity! Elijah is taking a two week break from PT due to holiday availability and your gift will be detrimental in keeping him stay on track with his goals! His foster mom is beyond grateful to have the tools she needs to do his exercises at home. Have the happiest holiday and thank you for making a difference in Elijahs life. "
