Ciara is a senior in high school who became a part of the LifeSet program back in November to help her with meeting her goals of obtaining a driver’s license, better understanding healthy habits, gaining confidence for employment opportunities, and financial literacy. Ciara is very academically inclined and decided to push herself in her last year of high school by taking all honors classes. The fact that she is in the top 15 of her school (number 7 to be exact) speaks to her ability to put her mind to something and put her best foot forward. Over the course of her senior year taking honors, Ciara discovered that she prefers to hand write her notes verses type her notes. As she pursues her college education, Ciara would like to utilize an iPad and stylus for her academics since information resonates with her more when she scripts verses when she types, other positives including that it is lighter and smaller than a traditional laptop. Additionally, this is the ideal format to create her digital art in her free time, which she hopes to eventually begin entering at art competitions, contests, and exhibitions after high school.
