A trip to Universal Studios for Crystal for some summertime fun
Crystal, 24 years old

Think of UsCrystal is a former foster youth who aged out of foster care after turning 18. Crystal has lived experience as a survivor of sexual and physical abuse while living with her biological mother. Crystal had to file a report and was taken from her mother to live with her grandmother since her father was incarcerated. Crystal struggled without having much support or consistency during her childhood and this led to acting out and having to move from foster home to foster home or into group homes. But today, Crystal is creating new paths. She is a mother of two sweet children and works with her partner to give them the home she never had. Crystal loves playing with her children and cherishes her time at home with her family. Crystal looks forward to her future as she learns to grow her family on her own.
Growing up native Angeleno, Crystal visited Universal Studios only once as a child but remembers how thrilling the rides were, how exciting it was to learn about how movies were made, and to catch a glimpse of some Hollywood magic. Now as a full-time mother, Crystal wishes to go the park to have fun and create new memories. However, Crystal and her boyfriend's budgets are very tight since Crystal's unable to work due to being a full-time mama. Luxuries like tickets to any kind of extra-curricular or vacation-like activity are hard to afford. Crystal hopes a pair of passes for her and her boyfriend, will create many opportunities to bring their children to the park this summer and, through the rest of the year, to experience the same thrills and excitement Crystal once felt before. They're ready for some magic in their lives!
