AD is at one of the top public universities in the world with an eye towards media or film studies. Despite a solid first year, the second year has been incredibly stressful, with challenges around mental health, bio and foster families, academics, and belonging within a large campus. Prior to college, he attended over 15 schools and navigated on his own to ensure his future. However, it has been quite overwhelming and we are continuing to support him during this slightly prolonged transition. Hobbies that bring him joy are listening to music of all genres, styling people, playing basketball, and skateboarding.

AD recently has been dealing with a variety of injuries and was introduced to an isometric form of exercise to help him continue to build strength and learn active flexibility. This gift card would enable him to take 8-12 courses in small groups (active flexibility, soft acrobatics) to help him complete exercises that parallel his interests. At the same time, the vibes at this particular center are very inclusive, and it is currently one of the few places he can go to without feeling overly socially anxious. Every summer has been a struggle, so it's awesome that AD is proposing methods on his own that could support his mental health.
