Sumaya is a dedicated individual who is currently pursuing her studies in criminal justice while also working as an optometrist's assistant. Balancing her educational and professional commitments, she remains a loving mother, striving to provide for her family. Having aged out of DCPP services, she navigates her challenges with resilience, receiving very little support along the way. Her hard work and determination reflect her commitment to building a better future for herself and her children.

Sumaya lives with her daughter off campus and finds it difficult to maintain work, classes, and daycare drop-off, as well as find time to make it to campus early to print what she needs. On top of that, she has to pay for printing! Having her own printer will help alleviate some stress for Sumaya and allow her to focus more on her other priorities.
