An EzyRoller Bike for Akio so he can finally ride a bicycle that is accessible to him
Akio, 15 years old, OH
Wish submitted by:
The National Youth Advocate ProgramAkio was removed from his family for medical neglect and has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. These diagnoses do not define him though! Akio's smile lights up a room. He has recently been placed in permanent custody and they are hoping that his current foster family will adopt him. He loves being outside. And he likes to think of himself as a "foodie."
Due to Akio's cerebral palsy, he does have balance issues and cannot ride a normal bicycle. This is hard on him as he has such a boisterous spirit! He would love to be able to participate in activities with peers. An EzyRoller cart/bicycle would allow him to ride alongside of his friends. This bike would give Akio the normalcy he so deserves!
