Alex's journey through life has been anything but straightforward. From entering foster care as a child to navigating the complexities of the Justice System as a young adult, he's faced numerous challenges to get to where he is today. When reflecting on his past, Alex likes to think of his so-called "failures" as simply part of his process of figuring out life. With an optimistic view on life, he sees the silver lining in every situation. Alex describes himself as a dedicated partner, an engaged college student, and a responsible adult who knows how to prioritize his time and energy. He values hanging out with friends, kickboxing, and playing basketball, all while enjoying quality moments with his partner. With his natural aptitude for working with his hands, Alex has embraced his skills, pursuing careers in automotive and construction trades. Through it all, he's learned that the lessons from his past have been instrumental in shaping the success he’s found in life.

Very recently Alex was the victim of an automotive crime. Unfortunately, someone had gone down the street near Alex's home and damaged all of the cars along the street. Alex's being the worst in damages, he is currently working with the police and car company to get several windows and the engine repaired. While Alex is hopeful that all the necessary repairs will happen in a timely manner, Fall semester is starting on August 26. This only gives Alex a little over 3 weeks to hope for his car to get back into working order so that it might transport him to school. In order to stay on track with his education, Alex is hoping to get a few Uber gift cards so that he will be able to make it to school in those first few weeks, no matter the condition of his car.
