Holden is a creative, friendly teen who excels on his bowling and archery teams. He enjoys playing video games when he is not busy with his extracurricular activities to wind down and relieve stress.
Holden only wants the same pair of shoes that his mother last purchased for him. He keeps the original shoes that she purchased for him, even though they do not fit him anymore. These shoes are sentimental to Holden and the bond he once shared with his mother.
