A sandbox for Lexie to give her kids a space for exploration

Lexie, 28 years old

Foster Alumni Mentors

Lexie is a hard working woman with a determined mindset. She doesn't let anything get her down and always pushes forward with an optimistic outlook. She is raising her 2 year old daughter to be a strong and independent woman while also raising her teenage sister. Together they are amazing and won't ever give up. In Lexie's spare time she loves taking videos of her daughter dancing, spending time outside, baking, and always has a smile on her face.

Lexie is really wanting to get a sandbox for her kids because it would be a wonderful way to keep them happily engaged while sparking their creativity. Having a space where they can dig, build, and explore would not only bring them joy but also provide Lexie with the precious time needed to get things done. With the sandbox as their little world of adventure, Lexie can have a moment to catch up on tasks, knowing her kids are safe, and entertained, and developing important skills through play. It would be a perfect addition to Lexie's home, giving them all a little more breathing room and fun.

This gift means more than you know—it’s not just a play area, but a space where my little ones can let their imaginations run wild. Knowing they have a safe and engaging place to explore and create gives me the time I need to focus on other things, all while hearing their laughter and seeing their joy. I’m so grateful for this thoughtful gift, and I know it will bring endless hours of fun and learning to our family."
