John and his father fled their country due to an unsafe environment and were granted asylum here in the United States. However, the language barrier and lack of provided services have been challenging, and they have experienced homelessness. John is a very intelligent young man who enjoys drawing, painting, and playing video games. He likes hanging out with his friends and playing mahjong, a game of skill. He also enjoys playing basketball and ping pong. Additionally, he likes riding his new electric scooter, which was gifted to him as he does not have any other means of transportation.

Pengyu and his father are currently homeless. The Division is assisting them with temporary housing until they can receive emergency housing through social services. Pengyu doesn't have any family or friends here yet and doesn't leave the motel room much. There is a Wendy's down the street where once a week they get dinner. Pengyu is still getting used to American food but has taken a liking to Wendy's. A gift card to Wendy's would allow him to get a couple of meals when needed.
