Jakari has been in foster care for the majority of his life. He was abandoned by his parents and has struggled with that knowledge from the age of 5. Although he has been through many ups and downs while hopping from resource home to resource home, he is a bright young man who wants a solid future for himself. This now will include his new son. He and his girlfriend welcomed their baby 6 months ago, and although are doing a great job at parenting him at such a young age, they are struggling with affording the necessary items that will help their child with his development.

Jakari's old laptop is severely malfunctioning and continues to reboot, causing him to lose all his work continuously. It is a struggle for him to complete assignments on time as the reboot time can take up to an hour. He has been very optimistic about doing well this year, but the laptop is really ruining his spirits. A new laptop would really help keep him motivated as the school year progresses for him.
