Oddum has a long and touching story to share about her life, but she often describes it as heartbreaking. She has lived in countless places across multiple states, often with those she considers family and sometimes with her mom's friends who took them in. However, her luck took a turn for the better last year when she and her three siblings found a forever home with a great-aunt who gained guardianship. Now, she’s looking forward to graduation and hopes to take the next step by enlisting in the Army for Medicine. Ultimately, she dreams of becoming a mortician. Oddum is an amazing young lady, determined to overcome her past and forge a brighter future.

Oddum never thought she was going to be able to live in one place long enough to see graduation until she moved in with her great aunt. Now the year has come, and she has asked for help to get a class ring to show she did it. Oddum is very excited she has the chance to see a cap and gown and now also join the Army. Oddum is beating the odds and showing she can.
