Glenda arrived in the US with family members who, unfortunately, did not take good care of her. She has been in foster care for several years. She loves her foster family and sees them as her real family. She struggles with self-confidence, but hopefully, in time, she will learn to value herself and move forward positively from this part of her life.

Glenda is hosting a small baby shower for her resource family and her school friends. She doesn't have enough money to get her hair done for the event, so she's hoping to do it herself. She has researched the best curling iron for her hair and has been saving up to afford it. However, it would be a lovely surprise if it could be gifted to her. Despite being young and expecting, she has managed to maintain her performance in school and is genuinely trying harder to make good choices along the way.
