As a University of California, Riverside student and a proud participant in the Guardian Scholars Program, these grocery cards were nothing short of a lifeline for me. As a former foster youth who has faced challenges stemming from housing insecurities and involvement with the judicial system, having access to nutritious food has been a game-changer. The cards allowed me to stock up on fresh, wholesome groceries while also learning how to budget effectively—skills that will stick with me long after the last grocery trip. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been able to budget one card so far, and I’ve now transitioned to using EBT. Your generous support came at just the right time and made such a meaningful impact.
