Ares is the oldest of three brothers. He enjoys playing games on his tablet and playing catch with his family. He also loves sensory toys, especially those that feature lights, different textures, and sounds. Ares has Charge Syndrome, which affects his communication, mobility, vision, and airway, leading to difficulties with swallowing. He is provided with feedings through his G-tube. Overall, Ares is a happy, growing young boy who needs extra assistance.

Ares continues to use a crib mattress, which suits both him and his foster parents best. This setup allows them easy access to him during the night, especially since he needs medical attention due to the risk of aspirating his formula and occasional vomiting. The smaller size of the crib mattress also enables his foster parents to quickly check his position and provide necessary care, while also preventing his J-Tube from getting tangled. However, this choice leads to frequent mattress replacements, as he exceeds the weight limit for standard infant and toddler beds. To accommodate him, he needs an extra thick mattress that features a removable waterproof cover.
