A pair of Nike shoes for Michael who rarely thinks of himself
Michael, 25 years old

The Lost & Found InstituteMichael grew up in kinship care with his siblings and faced challenges in his non-traditional upbringing. He dreamed of becoming an NFL football player and dedicated much of his childhood to the sport. Unfortunately, during high school, he suffered a torn ACL that forced him to stop playing. This setback opened new opportunities for him. After recovering, he discovered a passion for home remodeling and started his own business. He enjoys transforming houses and a variety of projects and seeing the results of his work. Although he didn’t achieve his NFL dream, he finds fulfillment in building beautiful and functional homes.
Michael would love a new pair of shoes for Christmas this year. He’s someone who rarely treats himself, always prioritizing others’ needs over his own. As a result, he doesn’t often spend money on things he truly needs, even when it’s time for a new pair of shoes. A gift like this would be incredibly meaningful to him, not just for its practicality but because it would show that someone is thinking of him and his needs. Receiving a new pair of shoes to open on Christmas Day would bring him a lot of joy and be a reminder that he’s deserving of something special. It would also be something he could enjoy every day after the holiday season, making it a gift that lasts far beyond Christmas. This simple yet thoughtful gesture would truly warm his heart and mean more than words can express.
