Lance is a young boy who suffers from autism. He is the third of four children and the middle boy. Despite the traumatic events that he has encountered, he keeps smiling. He loves oranges, Spiderman, Toy Story, and Buzz Lightyear.

Lance has a strong admiration for everything related to Spiderman. He has shown personal growth since last year. Unfortunately, Lance's mother recently lost her job, which means she is unable to buy him a new coat this year. Lance is especially interested in getting a Spiderman coat, and he wishes to have matching snow pants as well. He is excited about the prospect of playing in the snow this season.
