Le'aura is full of energy and life. She has a spirit that can brighten up any room she steps into. Her emotions are strong and change quickly—she can be laughing and having fun one moment and feeling sad or quiet the next. This ability to switch emotions can be both a gift and a challenge for her, especially because she has faced difficult experiences in her young life. Being taken into care has left her with many questions about her past. While she is loving and excited about life, she sometimes struggles to understand her negative feelings from her past hurts. Her caregivers are working hard to help her understand and deal with her emotions, especially when they become overwhelming. They provide her with support and guidance to help her manage her feelings. Despite her emotional struggles, Le'aura is strong and determined to grow and gain control over her emotions. She loves to socialize and is always ready to chat about anything. Whether it's sharing about her day or her interests, she enjoys making connections with others. At the same time, she has a quieter side. When she’s not interacting with others, she loves hairstyling. Whether it’s doing her own hair or styling that of her caregivers or dolls, she enjoys being creative and showing her artistic side. When the day winds down, Le'aura likes to spend time alone. Riding her bike or being outdoors helps her feel calm and at peace. It gives her a chance to recharge and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside.

Le'Aura has been asking for an iPad for a long time. Some of the other kids in her home have one, and she enjoys watching them play games or curling up to watch a television show with them. She loves playing little educational games when she gets the chance, and she enjoys finding YouTube videos of people reading books. Le'Aura wants an iPad so she can access an app that has a wide variety of books that she can read or listen to, depending on how she feels that day. While she likes playing on her own and has been great at sharing, it would be wonderful for her to have her own device.
