Dezzi's journey has been quite a ride. For most of her life, she and her family have faced the tough reality of homelessness, often relying on friends for a place to stay and food to eat. Despite these struggles, Dezzi has worked hard to stay positive and set a good example at school. She's a standout in the choir, pouring her heart into the program, earning solos, and leading her classmates. Dezzi is also determined to try every sport she can, loving the feeling of being part of a team that feels like family. Life hasn’t been easy for her, but she has turned her challenges into motivation and has made the best of her situation.

Dezzi would love an IPad. She constantly makes videos of herself dancing and signing. She has recently got into a few programs the teacher uses in class. She would also have something to work on homework with as we do not allow district computers to leave the school. She loves to draw and play games. I think this would be a great gift for her so she has something of her own that she can take with her and use it to work on her talents and give her something to look forward to.
