Eathan is a sweet boy who has been through a great deal during his short life. He was part of the foster program when his mother was under jeopardy of losing her parental rights due to substance use. His mother has now been sober and has been given the chance to care for him. Eathan does not ask for much and is just happy to be in a home with his mother and brother.

During a recent move, Eathan noticed the worn condition of his mattress, which reflected his family's struggles. Eathan's mom, now six years sober and excited about their new apartment, expressed a mix of pride and vulnerability as she shared her efforts to create a safe space for them. Despite her determination, replacing the old mattress feels like a significant hurdle to overcome. Eathan would be over the moon to have a new mattress to sleep on!
