Howard, also known as Howie, has been with his current caregivers for the past few years. Although he is nonverbal and does not fully grasp the details of his case or placement, he shares a strong bond with his caregivers. Diagnosed with autism, Howie finds joy in solitary play and loves watching animated music videos of children's nursery rhymes. He is growing quickly and especially enjoys outdoor activities at parks.

Howard has a sensory processing disorder, and having access to sensory toys would greatly assist him in self-regulating. This, in turn, would enable him to engage more meaningfully with family, friends, peers, and adults. Currently, he has no language abilities, and a sensory buckle pillow could help him become more comfortable with different textures while also addressing behaviors stemming from his discomfort.
