A television so Billy can unwind after a long day of work and school

Billy, 22 years old

Wish submitted by:

UC Riverside - Guardian Scholars Program

Billy has recently aged out of foster care. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and watching cartoons to relax after busy days filled with work and classes. He is eager to pursue certification programs after graduating with his bachelor's degree. Currently, he works as a behavioral technician, assisting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Billy is currently an undergraduate student who recently aged out of the care system. One of the few possessions he cherished and relied on to escape his daily stresses was his television. Unfortunately, after having to move, Billy's last TV broke and is no longer functional. He enjoyed using it not only for entertainment but also for educational purposes, as he often watched YouTube videos to help him study for his classes. In his downtime, he loves immersing himself in crime documentaries and psychological thrillers, which have become a significant part of his viewing habits.

"Hi, Billy. Congratulations to you for continuing in school. It's not easy and takes a lot of hard work. I hope this tv helps you to relax after your studies. I didn't have a tv for years and years, but I am a reader so I didn't miss it so much. I hope you find a happy medium between reading and watching tv. Have a Merry Christmas, Billy, and a happy and healthy New Year. Keep up the good work. Best, Sheila"
