Ashley received a secondhand couch some time ago, but it has since begun to reveal its wear and tear. The once-cozy seating arrangement is now marred by popping springs and sagging cushions, a situation that has slipped down her list of priorities, especially with a lively little boy to care for. During a recent visit from her social worker, the absence of the couch caught her attention. As Ashley explained the situation, she could sense the concern in her visitor's eyes as she described how the couch had deteriorated, making it uncomfortable for her and her child. Now, more than ever, she longs for a new couch—a warm and inviting space where she and her little one can curl up together, share stories, and create cherished memories.
