Katie is a loving and caring young lady who recently aged out of foster care and got her first apartment. The hardest part about having been in foster care was being away from her brothers, which continues to be a challenge, but she hopes to have a consistent relationship with them one day. Katie is a single mom, who works part-time at a doctor's office and attends school to become a medical assistant.

Katie is excited and relieved to know that she will have her own home when she welcomes her baby girl in February. Although she has limited social support and is currently unable to work due to her pregnancy, this has not stopped her from pursuing her goals.
