Kayla has had a challenging start to her short life due to experiencing neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) after her birth. She has spent her entire life in the NICU, but in just a few days, she will be discharged and placed in the same foster home as her older brother! Although she will continue to experience withdrawal symptoms and other adverse effects from NAS, having a MamaRoo soothing swing will be incredibly beneficial for her when she struggles to self-soothe. The MamaRoo swing is commonly used in NICUs to assist babies undergoing withdrawal from NAS and has proven to be an effective tool when other methods fail. This swing will be a perfect comfort item for Kayla, helping her as she continues to grow and develop. Having this swing will provide her with a great way to ease her transition from the NICU and give her the best possible start in life!

Kayla faced a difficult beginning, as she was admitted to the NICU right after her birth. After leaving the hospital, she was fortunate to be placed in the same foster home as her older brother. As Kayla continues to grow and develop, she will require plenty of support. Fortunately, with the resources available to her, she has a strong chance of thriving and leading a successful life.
