A shopping trip for Julien who just moved to his new home
Julien, 16 years old

Mecklenburg County Guardian ad LitemJulien has spent some time in foster care. Prior to foster care, he spent a lot of time out of his home in intuitional settings. Since being out of his parent's care, his trauma response behaviors have essentially been nonexistent! He no longer needs Special Education Services, he no longer needs institutional care, and his number one wish is to have normal experiences just like his peers. Julien loves to read and is a big fan of history!
Julien has requested a GAP gift card because he has experienced a growth spurt, and it is much colder in his new home state, requiring him to get appropriate clothing. He is starting the second semester of his 10th-grade year at a new school with his extended family. During his first semester in North Carolina, he was very successful, earning 4 A's and receiving credit for all of his classes. Julien is eager to begin the new semester on a high note with suitable weather-appropriate attire for his new school. He has the potential to be highly successful academically, socially, and professionally. Julien is excited about his fresh start! This is wish 1 of 2.
