Madilynn is a smart and happy girl living in a foster home with her twin sister, Mary. She enjoys playing dress-up and drawing colorful pictures. Madilynn is very close to her sister, and they support each other through this challenging time in their lives. She loves horseback riding and playing soccer, and her favorite colors are blue and pink. Despite being placed in foster care, Madilynn remains a very loving little girl.

Madilynn is very excited about Valentine's Day. She has found the perfect pink dress for the occasion. Her third-grade class will be having a Valentine's Day party. Since this is a new school for Madilynn, she is adjusting well. She likes her teachers and has made new friends. Madilynn asked if she could bring a bag of candy to school to share with all her classmates and teachers.
