Katie was adopted when she was eight years old. Because she is a part of the LGBT community, her adoptive mother wanted her to be removed from their home. Additionally, Katie had bruises from where her stepfather physically abused her. Despite her difficult experiences, Katie loves animals and has a great sense of humor. She is currently working on finishing high school and enjoys exploring new places.

Katie has been looking forward to transitioning into adulthood. As her 18th birthday approaches in March, she looks forward to celebrating this milestone with her friends. One of her favorite places to eat is Chili's, especially for their delicious burgers. A gift card to Chili's would be the perfect way to commemorate all her hard work and make her birthday celebration even more special.
