Crystal is truly one of a kind. As an awesome big sister with a deep love for animals, she aspires to become a veterinarian. In 2024, her life changed dramatically when she and her dad narrowly escaped a devastating fire that claimed two loved ones. Though they suffered minor burns, Crystal faced sleepless nights and PTSD, having lost many personal belongings and spent weeks without a stable home. She later reunited with her mom, who has had her own medical issues, including brain surgery, and has limited income. Together, they care for Crystal’s younger half-sibling and their cherished dog. Despite the challenges, Crystal finds joy in playing with her dog, going to the movies, and making jewelry. Her favorite color is blue, and she has a special fondness for Hello Kitty. Through it all, Crystal’s resilience and spirit shine brightly, reflecting her strength and compassion.

Crystal looks forward to warm spring and summer days. However, in New Jersey, it is cold and dreary. She would love to add a fun, bright sweater to her wardrobe. Every time she wears it, she will be reminded that she is one day closer to feeling the sunshine on her face!
