Clothes for Karissa who is growing quickly
Karissa, 14 years old, NY
Wish submitted by:
Foster Hope New YorkKarissa moved in with her grandmother after being suddenly removed from her home. Her mother and stepfather struggle with untreated mental health issues, making her previous home unsafe. Karissa is a kind, friendly, and quiet girl. Since coming into care, she has had to relocate to a new city and change schools, but she remains optimistic. She enjoys sports and participates in cross country for her school. Karissa loves spending time with her friends and has been fortunate to receive weekly visits from one of them. Together, they enjoy cooking, talking about fashion, and experimenting with makeup.
Karissa has been in care for nearly six months, during which she has experienced a significant growth spurt. She has outgrown most of the clothes she brought with her when she first entered care. Karissa would love to use this gift card to purchase essential clothing items that will help her feel more confident and comfortable during this time of transition. This wish was split up to allow Karissa a fun shopping day. This is wish 2 of 2.
Awesome Human grants the wish for Karissa! Thanks Awesome Human.
