He loves basketball, which brings him comfort.
Jermaine has been in foster care for a year, and he loves basketball. While moving to his second placement, he missed the opportunity to sign up for his school’s basketball team, something he had been eagerly anticipating. Jermaine struggles to find a sense of security since learning that he may not return home. He is quiet and lacks confidence, and he recently discovered that a reunion with his parents may not be possible. His parents do not visit regularly, and Jermaine misses them and wishes he could go home. Granting him an Amazon gift card allowing Jermaine to pick out something related to basketball would bring him much-needed joy and show him that people care about his thoughts and wishes.
