Jasmine is in the DCFS system and is focused on obtaining her high school diploma. She has experienced instability in both her placements and her education. However, Jasmine has finally found a stable placement and a school that she loves. Although she hasn’t always enjoyed school, she has worked hard to overcome her fears and insecurities related to her education. In the past, Jasmine did not always have a loving and supportive environment to motivate her to pursue her goals. Jasmine has faced many challenges and traumas in her life, and she is determined not to let her educational journey become another obstacle. She is self-determined, independent, and possesses the skills necessary for success. Education is very important to Jasmine, and she has learned to advocate for her wants and needs as a current foster youth.

Having her own laptop would really help her keep track of her schoolwork and ensure that she submits her assignments on time.
