Amber was very young when she entered foster care and was later adopted by a family that abused her, which resulted in her returning to foster care. Throughout her teenage years, Amber moved in and out of foster homes and residential treatment centers. Despite these challenges, she thrived and even met the love of her life before graduating high school. One of Amber's heartfelt dreams has always been to have a family of her own that she could care for and protect. Amber and her partner have since married and are working hard to make ends meet with one small child and another on the way. Unfortunately, there were complications with Amber's second pregnancy, leading her to deliver prematurely at three months early, with the baby weighing just over 3 pounds.

Amber is very concerned about safe sleep, especially since her baby boy is small and needs to gain enough health for discharge. Thankfully, both mother and baby are doing well. However, finances have been tight with only one income, and the couple has been staying close to the children's hospital. This has resulted in the father having to drive one hour each way from work to the hospital. When they are finally able to come home, Amber would like to have a bassinet that can accommodate all the monitoring cords for her baby’s sleep apnea. This bassinet would allow her to keep her baby in her room, close by during breastfeeding, while also ensuring safe sleep. It would provide her with peace of mind during the next few months.
