Lilyanna has faced a long and challenging journey in foster care. After being removed from her parents, she was placed in legal guardianship with a woman she referred to as a mother. Unfortunately, this relationship was emotionally and physically damaging for Lilyanna. However, she found refuge in school and has excelled academically. Lilyanna is so dedicated to her education that she wakes up at 5 a.m. to catch a bus to a school located a few cities away. In addition to her studies, she enjoys skateboarding, drawing, and shopping at thrift stores. What makes Lilyanna truly remarkable is her maturity and insight regarding her life experiences.
