Nicholai has been in the foster care system for several years and is aging out. Throughout his journey, he has grown significantly and developed real, meaningful goals. Nicholai wants to complete his GED so he can start working and possibly pursue a college education. He has maintained a positive attitude throughout his experiences in foster care, often bringing humor and laughter to his peers and the staff at the various placements where he has lived. In addition to his optimistic outlook, Nicholai has a passion for sports, particularly basketball and football, and has also developed a deep appreciation for track and field. Furthermore, he is a talented artist.

Nicholai is really excited about finishing his GED because he sees it as a big turning point in his life. It represents his strength and determination to overcome the challenges he faced while in Child Protective Services. Even though he's had a tough journey, he's stayed focused on his education and growing as a person. He knows that earning his GED will help him build a better future. But to reach his goals, Nicholai feels that having a laptop would make a huge difference. It would give him the tools he needs to complete his GED and work toward a stable and successful life. Growing up in child protective services has been challenging for Nicholai. Moving around between foster homes and changing schools often made it hard for him to stick with his education. Despite all of this, he believes in the power of education to change his life for the better.
