Nekhi enjoys playing basketball, football, boxing, and video games with his four older brothers. He is well-liked by both his teachers and peers at school. He excels academically and has been accepted into a gifted program. However, Nekhi has recently experienced a significant amount of trauma. After losing his father, he witnessed his brother suffer an inadvertent gunshot wound. To cope with these traumatic events and address recurring anxiety and difficulties with emotional regulation, Nekhi has been participating in therapy.

To help deal with everything that’s happened, he’s discovered that staying active makes a big difference! He often feels a mix of anger and anxiety, but he’s determined to find healthy ways to express those feelings. One thing on his wish list is a punching bag because he loves boxing! It would be a fantastic outlet for him to channel his emotions and have fun in the process.
