Marksboro Community ChurchPaisley is an adorable little girl who is nonverbal. She was born with a low birth weight and spent six months in the hospital. For her first year, she was fed through a G-tube. She is truly a miracle baby. While she experiences some developmental delays, she has a passion for dolls and books. Her foster mom mentions that she does say some words, but it seems she may have selective mutism, as she is very particular about when and to whom she chooses to speak. Paisley is dainty and loves the color pink, flowers, and playing in water. She is new to our family, and we look forward to watching her learn and grow.
A fun toothbrush set would be a great help to Paisley, who has autism and struggles with brushing her teeth. The texture, taste, and routine can be overwhelming for her, and brushing often turns into a daily challenge. A sensory astronaut toothbrush will feel more like a toy than a chore and is designed to make brushing fun. It would help her build better habits in a way that feels safe and enjoyable, giving her a sense of independence and helping her foster mom avoid the stress and tears that often come with toothbrushing time. Something as simple as this could make a big difference in Paisley’s daily routine and confidence.
