CASA NJ - Essex CountyGlenda arrived in the US with family members who, unfortunately, did not take good care of her. She has been in foster care for several years. She loves her foster family and sees them as her real family. She struggles with self-confidence, but hopefully, in time, she will learn to value herself and move forward positively from this part of her life.
Glenda is a new mom who is adjusting to her role, but she is determined to continue her education. She has applied to a program to become an ultrasound technician and has been accepted! She will begin this summer after graduating from high school. To start on the right foot, she knows she needs a desk to help her stay organized. Having a designated workspace will make it easier for her to focus on her studies instead of sitting on the floor or the couch. She plans to keep her baby in a swing next to her while she studies.
