Madison is a full-time college student and the eldest in her family, with two much younger sisters. They live in a relative resource home with their maternal grandparents. Although Madison's biological parents visit frequently, they struggle with substance abuse and housing instability. Despite these challenges, Madison remains resilient and strives for independence. She is goal-oriented and aware of her situation in her grandparents' home. Madison is determined to achieve success so she can ensure stability in her own life and provide the same for her younger siblings if needed. She helps her grandparents by doing chores, cooking, and babysitting whenever possible. Madison is grateful for her grandparents and the support from the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).

Madison has previously been employed but took a break from work to focus on her full-time studies at Ocean County College. She is now looking for a part-time job to earn her own money. A gas gift card would help Madison commute to school and work without having to ask her grandparents for money or feeling overwhelmed while trying to support herself and assist her grandparents.
