Leah is a determined young mother who overcame significant challenges to create a better life for herself and her daughter. She navigated the foster care system and, at 17, found out she was pregnant and discovered the strength to break the cycle and secure stable housing through foster care resources. Leah is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology and aims to earn a master’s in social work. Her goal is to help foster and justice-involved youth find stability and hope, using her own experiences as a source of healing and guidance for others.

Leah is a dedicated single mother and an impending college graduate who has worked incredibly hard to create a stable and loving home for her 4-year-old daughter. After spending eight years in foster care and overcoming a toxic relationship, Leah took advantage of available resources to secure housing and build a new life. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in psychology while working as a mental health professional supporting youth in the justice system. Leah is focused on continuing her education and giving back to her community. Her wish is for a vacuum/mop combo to help keep her apartment clean and comfortable for herself and her daughter. As a busy mom balancing work, school, and parenting, having a tool like this would make daily chores easier and more manageable. For Leah, it would be an invaluable way to maintain the safe, nurturing space she has worked so hard to create.
