Carl is a very happy-go-lucky young man who loves comic books, music, fishing, and drawing. He has some special needs and was recently removed from his home. Carl was not placed with his younger siblings because he needs more assistance with his daily living functions. He has not allowed his placement in foster care to stop his desire to work hard in school so that he can graduate on time. Carl does not allow his disability to stop his enjoyment of life. He loves visiting with his siblings every weekend and always has pictures for them to take back of his drawings.

Carl was placed in his new living arrangement, where he is now residing in a Supervised Independent Living program. He is living in his own apartment and is doing great in school, on track to graduate on time. Carl has worked extremely hard to achieve this goal. In addition, he is working part-time at a local supermarket and is saving his money for a vehicle. However, Carl needs a cell phone for communication. He would love to have a device to stay in touch with his family and keep connected with his job.
